Surprise Wedding. Ooooh this one was a doozy - all about the couple, all about their love, their passion, their story. I’ll let the video and photos tell the rest xxx

Wins that you WANT to take away from this big day

  • JUST GET IT DONE! These guys knew exactly what they wanted and they JUMPED, yep no toe dipping over here and tentative umms and ahhs, they had a VERY strict timeline and everything had to happen. If it didn’t, it didn’t matter. Pick your top matters of importance for the day and everything else is just fluff

  • This was an engagement party turned surprise wedding. It took away the pressure of waiting 12 months to say I-do, they didn’t have family giving their input on every decision and they knew that only the best would show up. The people who make the effort to get there for your engagement party are the types of people you want to help celebrate the big day itself

  • This one we did a photo session the week before (big thank you to The Establishment Bar in Dubbo who was the setting for the first portion of these) and then we hit up the RSL carpark rooftop for some laid back snaps of these two before the wedding. It was an awesome way to firstly get these two comfortable in front of the camera before they said I-do, but also helped bring together the bigger picture of how they envisaged their wedding day to look - we wanted fun, sexy, bold photos that captured their passion

  • Witness lotto - Yep everyone got a ticket upon arrival and just before we cut the cake they drew it to find out who would be signing the wedding certificate! Yes you do not have to sign the certificate during the ceremony itself. Yes, you don’t have to pick your people beforehand. Yes, this is the bonus of only having your bestest crew around you for the big day. Yes, a killer way to make those chosen feel super duper special.

  • Big yes - Champagne tower when you make your wedding party entrance. What a way to kick start the party

  • Big yes to weddings at smaller restaurants and non-traditional wedding venues. This one was a little pizza and cocktail restaurant in Dubbo called Down the Lane who have a KILLER crew behind the scenes. They went above and beyond for this one and a huge shoutout to the team who made this day so incredible.

  • And lastly get yourself a killer MC/Celebrant. People HUGELY underestimate the importance of this person - they have a massive impact on the vibe for the day, whether things feel stilted or smooth flowing, whether people laugh or cringe and whether people stand and whoop at an entrance or sit and clap mildly… Get yourself a PIPPA MOORE! She is the booty dropping, jive talking queen who will get your party started as soon as your guests drag their butts into the venue - 10/10 recommend!

Shout out to Denises Flowers in Dubbo who is the queen of dried florals.

All. The. Good. Feels. That was this wedding in 4 words or less

If there’s a wedding in this gallery that you HAVE to lay your eyes on its this one! Firstly for the pysch-out of a first look (yes you can joke around on the big day!) but also because these two smoke shows were just the bee’s knees of bride and groomery goodness. From the smitten lovesick puppy eyes they gave each other all day to the heartfelt personalised vows, the beach gallovanting and the dance floor antics, this wedding was one of our favs of 2022. If there’s something you should take from this it’s that it’s your day and you do what makes it most FUN to you…. It’s your love story after all x

Wins that you WANT to take away from this big day

  • First look… with a sneaky curveball organised by the bride

  • The whole wedding guest list, yep everyone present, gave away the bride because these were ALL of their nearest and dearest… cuuuuttteee!

  • We broke the portrait photos into smaller chunks - a few when we did the first look, some after the ceremony and a quick beach run at sunset… all up it was probably only around 45mins worth of couple photos for the whole day. Having no bridal party definitely streamlines this

  • Not having a bridal party doesn’t mean you can’t have your besties involved - these guys got ready with the best crew and had them help out at multiple points during the day.

  • Our bride is a hairdresser so they personalised the day by having her do a cut-throat shave on hubby-to-be before they got ready. Talk about trust in the one you love!!!

  • Oh and Windsor Smith wedding kicks under the gown! Yaaaaasssssss

Shout out to Denises Flowers in Dubbo who did the incredible dried florals that were transported all the way to the coast. Tay Radford MUA, who not only is the brides bestie and so stepped in as ‘kinda bridesmaid’ for the day but also painted that gorgeous face… impeccable as always! Green Cathedral on Lakes Way where we had the reception - incredible, easy, gorgeous. Cape Hawke SLSC - the wedding was an intimate group and this spot was so perfect - plus we did coffee’s at the cafe just outside the morning of the wedding so it really did feel like the wedding was a whole day party. Perfect for your destination wedding xxx

Three years since these two swiped their way into a love story of their own and Oh MY Gosh I was stoked to be able to document their special day! Held at the ridiculously stunning Tocal Homestead just out of Maitland in the Hunter Valley …. I mean its country but polished. Giant fig trees, rolling hills, historic buildings and baby lambs grazing in the field. Also some pigs having a fat old time behind the stables. The perfect back drop for these two intrepid travellers who love nothing more than adventuring with their friends, sleeping under the stars, and exploring lands unknown. I hope this snippet of their wedding day makes you smile x

Celebrant of celebrants: Amy Webster Celebrant - legit the most down to earth, sassy but with heart, can herd cats (ie wandering guests who need to be corralled), need for your big day kind of officiant. Can also double as an MC if you ask with a pretty please and sugar on top

Makeup by Loren Murnane Makeup who is a ray of light on your big day - face painting extraordinaire

Olive and Rue delivered on the florals - if your chasing vibrant hues on your big day they lurve some seasonal blooms

Brides Gown by Karen Willis Holmes and altered by Design By B … Bridesmaids dressed in Shona Joy.

This one was a long time coming.

Another wedding pushed back, postponed, cancelled and re-planned in the rollercoaster that has been the last 3 years but we finally made it! And by we I mean these two cute kids but it feels like the few vendors who made it to the finishing line are just as elated that these two lovebirds finally made it down the aisle for their I’do’s.

Kiaarn + Ryan tied the knot in the good old Gardens Hotel in Dubbo and we wandered to a beautiful private residence just out of town for the bridal portraits - yep call in all your favours kids cause if there are some acres available or a beautiful home to use as a backdrop it can take your pics to the next level.

The girls got ready at Lillet on Short in Dubbo - STUNNING airbnb with lots of space and light… exactly what your hair and MUA teams need to get you glam. In this instance they had Tay Radford MUA and Ashleigh Clare Hair Studio working their magic behind the scenes. Yes to both the boys and girls dressed in black - a classic combo for all the right reasons.

Floral Artistry was by Denises Flower Studio in Dubbo - A stunning combo of dried and fresh neutral florals with gold accents for the Arch… take notes kids its classic x
