Spring Wedding Inspo

Pull out a paper backdrop and a wedding dress in any paddock out west and you’ll get a few raised eyebrows but also the perfect look for a Spring Wedding shoot. Yep we’re on the brink of wedding season kicking off and this little chicken is excited - and so thankful to my beautiful friend April who jumped in on this one … ex-cited! Cake by Caitlin Cake Design in Dubbo, flowers from the side of the road and dress from Aprils deb-ball when she was 18… yep no rules and I love it all!

Taylor + Ethan Videography @ Lazy River Dubbo

What a day to be a part of. Tay is a makeup extraordinaire from Dubbo and knew exactly the vibe she wanted for their big celebration. After C*d delays and family commitments, it finally all came together on the rolling winter lawns of Lazy River Estate in Dubbo. The first marquee to grace their lawns, this shindig was a show-stopper from every perspective. Glitz, Glammer and Glam with a hint of retro cowboy - this ones for the history books xxx

Samantha + Nick Wedding Photography @ Margan Wines Hunter Valley

Aaghhh excited to share a sneak peak of this incredible shindig… these legends survived a day of rain to dance down the aisle together at sunset to say I-Do. We tiptoed through puddles, first-looked in front of the fam bam, did our formals before the ceremony and danced the night away with just their nearest and dearest… the love and support in the room for these two and their next adventure together was absolute magic and I’m so damn lucky to be included in these intimate moments. Two such incredible locations, @lavender_ridge_au and @marganwine made this day what it was. @weddingswithjules got these kids married, Hair and makeup by the incredible Amelia at @amour_hair_artistry
A massive congratulations to Sam and Nick x

Sophie + Nick Wedding Photography @ Outback Cellar Dubbo

It may have rained the entire day but the one-two punch of colour for Nick and Sophie's wedding set the scene for an incredible festival of joy and celebrations... and what a team to bring it all together!

They originally planned an outdoor ceremony but with non-stop drizzle we had to drag all of the festivities in but we do love a clear marquee on the lawns of @outbackcellar_dubbo. The bride got ready in the cottage and the boys got ready off-site. Florals by the absolutely magic Abby at @onceandfloral.as , hair @bycharnie, makeup @kiss__and__makeup__ , Wed by Rach @love.language._ , cake @cacaohousecakes and delicious tasty treats out of the @shortstreetstore food van - so damn good! And lastly to all of the friends who helped bring this shindig together - yes gorgeous gowns and heels on and setting up tables, moving florals, carting eskies and ice bags - this all couldn't have happened without you... thank you all!

Amy + Jase Photo & Videography Package @ Tooraweenah

Halfway through wedding planning and already wanting to chuck the towel in??? DONT!

These two went through it all but they surrounded themselves with the right kind of people and with their love and help it all came together. Amy says ‘It was all our friends, family and our little community, who weren’t exactly vendors but were ultimately the heart and soul of helping us pull that day off!’

‘This is why we call so many ‘our family’, because our little community all came together to make our day happen in some way and it took soooo much stress off especially with our last minute venue change! 🙈 Between covid lockdowns the first time, a date chance and then a venue change on the second date, we honestly wouldn’t have pulled it off without their support!’

Turns out the location ended up being the perfect place for this heartfelt shindig - We ended up having both the wedding ceremony and the reception at Tooraweenah Golf Course which has the cutest little community hall-type building that is a blank canvas. They had fire pits to keep everyone toasty, a dance floor on the grass, they bought in cool rooms for the bevvies and had a buffet style meal so everyone could help themselves. It was pure party vibes.

Now - this one I’m sharing a little differently. Instead of just the images from the day, I’m showing you these guys WEDDING ALBUM! Yep the magazine we designed for them that includes all of the shots from the day that will be treasured forever - this is what you get to showcase the best day ever to your nearest and dearest. Scroll down to see how it all came together x

A big thank you also to their vendor vendors -

Pinto Posy Gilgandra who did the arbor design and flowers

Grey Door Design who made all of the signage and stubby holders etc

Denises flower Studio in Dubbo who made the bouquets

Caitlyn Cake Design - one of our Dubbo favs for delicious cakes and dessert towers

Wedding Shoppe Dubbo for the gorgeous gown

Tarne + Kris Wedding Photography @ St Aubyn's on Clairvaux

This wedding was soooooo much fun oh my gosh! With a giant bridal party full of your nearest and dearest its always going to be a bit wild but as I arrived to capture their getting ready photos I knew the cackles reverberating down the hall were a sign of the days vibe. I mean it could have been the whiskey at 11am, the budgie smugglers the boys had donned for the occasion or just the fact that the half family/half friend combo were just amping up to ensure they gave Kris and Tarne the happiest day of their lives. I mean it could also have been our friends at Greer Films stirring them up as they strutted their stuff for the video side of things.

They tied the knot at the goooorgeous St Auby’s on Clairvaux which I’ve linked for you because it is a stunning little garden setting that is just on the outskirts of Bathurst. A few hiccups when the driver picking up the girls went to the wrong house and turned up bride-less, but we skirted around that and before we knew it Tarne and her Dad we’re practically skipping down that aisle to the man of her dreams.

Post formalities, a few bevies for the guests and some family snaps and everyone raced up Mount Panorama for a reception at the Rydges overlooking the famous course. Just so much gorgeousness from these two but more importantly, friends who are family, two worlds becoming one and just seeing the love and respect in the room… and also the love for these two and their babies. I hope these photos tell that story x

Kate + Cameron @ The Vinegrove Mudgee

Talk about a feel good wedding! This one I wandered all the way to beautiful Mudgee and joined the beautiful duo that is Short Flix Media to capture this day.

I’m so terrible at this because I think, yeah I’ll share maybe 20 shots from this wedding - and then I can’t stop. So apologies but I wanted it all - the first look with Daddy’s little girls, the car ride down the aisle, the killer crew of good looking roosters/rooster-ets, the epic party and the stunning backdrop that is The Vinegrove in Mudgee. So buckle-up kids and enjoy the day that was, Cam and Kates big day!

Shoutout to the vendors who pulled this one together - The Beauty Room in Mudgee, Cheveaux Hair in Mudgee, Mudgee Monkey for the florals, Mudgee Made for the delicious food, Caitlin Cake Design in Dubbo for the incredible (as always) cake.
